Thanks to the two-zone lacing, you can adjust the laces on the forefoot and upper part of the ZEPHYR MK2 GTX MID separately. In this way it is possible to adapt the shoe to the specific anatomy of the foot and modify the lacing when going up and down.
The sole of the ZEPHYR MK2 GTX MID is connected to the upper using a technically complex injection procedure, which guarantees effective cushioning and high comfort. Then the upper part of the shoe is placed in a special form, which is then filled with several layers of polyethylene foam. The result? A sole connected directly to the upper forming a single unit.

The midsole with the LOWA MONOWRAP® frame of the ZEPHYR MK2 GTX MID ensures maximum comfort. This is a three-dimensional midsole design, which was developed by LOWA in 1995. You can lace the forefoot area and the upper in different ways.
The two-layer midsole is injected directly onto the shoe. The layers have degrees of hardness harmonized with each other to obtain the maximum level of comfort.
The shoe features closed-shaped hooks. The laces are guided securely and cannot fall out of the hooks. Closed hooks reduce the risk of the shoe getting caught on objects.
The sole of LOWA multifunctional shoes is directly injected to ensure ideal cushioning and maximum comfort. It is a complex injection molding procedure that connects the upper made with the Strobel method directly to the sole, thus giving the shoes ideal cushioning and incredible lightness.
