Midland - CT990 EB 10W

The CT 990 is an IP67 certified VHF which allows it to be used in extreme weather conditions as it is protected from dust and water up to one meter deep for 30 minutes. Its large color display allows for great readability thanks to TFT liquid crystal technology. The EB version has a larger 3600mAh battery which equates to approximately 30% more capacity and consequently longer life. The previous model lasted about 16 hours, with the increased battery about 21 hours. The CT 990 EB like its predecessor has a power of 10W and guarantees superior radio coverage performance compared to other devices of the same amateur family which typically transmit at 5W.
